About me

I am Professor of Religion and Worldview Education at Canterbury Christ Church University where I lead a research centre that focusses on religion and education, Church Schools, religious education, spiritual development and all things related. I write a blog about my research and educational musings here which includes interviews with interesting people I meet in education.

I taught English as a foreign language in Turkey and Japan and Religious Education in schools in Kent before moving to university and educating teachers, especially secondary RE teachers for 10 years. I teach ethics and education and faith in education at the university.

I am executive chair of the Association of university lecturers in religion and education  (http://aulre.org) and am a Trustee and Treasurer for the International Seminar for Religious Education and Values and a Trustee for Culham St Gabriels.
